Dr Jordan - Breast Cancer Treatment Specialist

Heidi A. Jordan, MD did her medical training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX which she finished in 1996. She then completed internal medicine residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX in 1999. This was followed by sub-specialty training in Medical Oncology and Hematology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas in conjunction with the Sammons Cancer Center and Susan G. Komen Breast Center. Dr. Jordan is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.

Dr. Jordan's goal is on comprehensive patient care. She mandates cutting-edge treatment and emphasizes staying current in the ever-changing field of cancer medicine. In addition, her mission is to treat the entire patient, not just their cancer, and to meet all patient needs in her office.

Laboratory studies are offered on site and evaluated while a patient waits. In addition, she offers nutritional evaluations, has a support/education center for patients and family members, an aesthetic center with head covers and skin products specific for chemotherapy and radiation, and staff members who are skilled, dedicated, and who share her philosophy.

Dr. Jordan started her own practice in August, 2005 so that she could give more personalized care to patients. Dr. Jordan feels that cancer medicine is a very personal field and not one which is appropriate for a "corporate setting". She is committed to providing the best, up-to-date care in a warm environment with an emphasis on having all patients' needs met in her office. Not only does she spend a great deal of time with each patient and their family/support network, she prides herself on being available for their on-going and ever-changing needs. In addition, Dr. Jordan believes that continuity of care is a must for this particular field of medicine.

Dr. Jordan and her husband of 25 years have two children together, a son who is 23 and a daughter who is 8. As a family, they are committed to their local church, enjoy golf, skiing, and swimming. Dr. Jordan loves to cook and read with her daughter.

It is through the gift of her cherished family that Dr. Jordan is able to be as committed to her work and patients as she is. She feels it a privilege and honor to work in the field of oncology and hematology and welcomes you and your family to her office.
